How it works

How Innovation Repairs Works

We are a request and referral service: you describe the problem once, and we pass it to independent local appliance repair professionals. Here is every step, plainly explained.

The request process

From Request to Repair Decision

  1. Pick your appliance

Choose the appliance that needs attention, from refrigerators and washers to range hoods and microwaves.

  2. Send a short request

Describe what is happening, add your ZIP code and how you would like to be contacted. Sending a request is free.

  3. Hear from a local pro

We pass your request to independent repair professionals who may serve your area. One who can take the job contacts you directly.

  4. Decide what happens next

The professional explains their visit fee and repair price. You choose whether to go ahead; nothing is agreed until you say so.

After You Press Submit

  1. You see a confirmation screen once our system has received your request. If anything goes wrong, the form says so and nothing is sent.
  2. We pass your request on to independent repair professionals who may serve your ZIP code.
  3. A professional may contact you by your preferred method if they can take the job. If none is available, you won’t hear from a professional, and you’re free to look elsewhere.
  4. They explain their fees. Many charge a diagnostic or trip fee. Ask what it is, and whether it counts toward the repair, before agreeing a visit.
  5. You decide. You are never obliged to accept a quote. The agreement, payment and warranty are between you and the professional.

  • Decides whether to take the job
  • Diagnoses the appliance and quotes a price
  • Performs the repair, supplies parts and sets warranty terms

Getting the Most From a Visit

  • Find the brand, model and serial number. The label location varies by appliance; each appliance page lists the usual places.
  • Note any error code and when the problem happens (every cycle, only on hot settings, after a power cut).
  • Clear access to the appliance and make sure water and power shut-offs are reachable.
  • Ask for the price, visit fee and warranty terms before work starts.
  • Changed your mind? See our Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Still unsure? Email support@innovationrepairs.com.

Does sending a request book an appointment?

No. A request lets independent repair professionals know you need help. If one who serves your area can take the job, they contact you, and an appointment exists only once the two of you agree on a time.

Who actually repairs my appliance?

An independent appliance repair professional. Innovation Repairs does not employ technicians or carry out repairs. The professional you choose is responsible for the diagnosis, the repair, any parts and their warranty.

How much does a repair cost?

Each professional sets their own prices, which depend on the appliance, the fault, parts and location. Many charge a diagnostic or trip fee. Ask what the visit costs, and whether that fee counts toward the repair, before any work begins.

Is there a charge for using Innovation Repairs?

No. Sending a request through this website is free, and you are under no obligation to hire anyone who contacts you.

Which areas do you cover?

We accept requests from anywhere in the United States, but whether a professional is available depends on your location and their schedule. We cannot promise that someone will be available in your area.

What happens to the information I submit?

We use it to handle your request and share it with independent repair professionals so they can contact you about it. We do not use it for marketing. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect, who receives it and how long we keep it.

My appliance is still under warranty. Should I use this service?

Contact the manufacturer or your warranty provider first. Repairs by other professionals may not be covered by the manufacturer’s warranty. Innovation Repairs is not affiliated with any manufacturer.

Can I cancel or change a request?

Yes. Email support@innovationrepairs.com or use our contact form to withdraw a request. If you have already arranged a visit with a professional, contact them directly to cancel or reschedule. See our Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy.
